In conjunction with the English Football League and Southborough's links with Charlton FC, I am delighted to send you the Joy of Moving Winter Games pack. This is an exciting selection of games and activities for your children and their families to enjoy over the next few weeks. The pack explains everything as you go, and all games and activities are appropriate for children in Key Stage 1 & 2. They have been designed so children can play indoors too.
Throughout February we would encourage families to post on social media about their involvement in the Joy of Moving Winter Games using #JOMWinterGames.
Please feel free to post photos of your children playing these games on Google Classroom or Tapestry.
Have fun and stay safe.
Best Wishes,
Mr Fotheringham
Dear Parents/ Carers,
I hope you are all fit and healthy.
Please find below a fantastic opportunity for FREE sports activities online.
The Youth Sport Trust have taken a step to deliver a FREE Virtual After School Club, as part of a National response to the second lockdown.
The 30-minute club will take place at 5pm each weekday and be led by a different member of the YST Athlete mentor Network, starting today, Thursday, 12th November, with World Number One Female In-line Skater and 10 times British Champion, Jenna Downing.
A different theme has been assigned for each day of the Club - Adventure Monday, Tuesday Play, Wild Wednesday, Thinking Thursday and Fun Friday.
The link below will take you directly to the YST Site with all of the information.
As we will not be having a Sports Day this Summer I am delighted to share with you the Joy of Moving Home School Festival booklet – all the games and activities are in the booklet for the children to easily follow for an afternoon full of fun. There are different options for individual games, or two or more players games so children will have some freedom to choose at these points. The booklet can be opened on a laptop, phone or iPad.
There are over a thousand schools taking part in this exciting festival all over the country next week and there is a competition element to the Home School Festival which offers children the opportunity to win a prize of kit and equipment for their school. It explains more in the booklet and is around encouraging families & schools to share their Joy of Moving activities on social media using the follow tags @CAFCTrust @EFLTrust #JOMHomeFestival.
Any questions please let me know and I am available to support through the week.
Stay safe and healthy.
Best Wishes,
Mr Fotheringham
